November 18, 2025 – STARBIA MEDiTEK has been approved by the National Science and Technology Councilʹs Science Park Review Committee to establish operations in the Huwei Park of the Central Taiwan Science Park, with a planned investment of NT$20 million.
STARBIA MEDiTEK specializes in bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology, developing high-precision body composition measurement devices. By passing weak electrical currents through the human body, these instruments map the distribution of muscle, fat, water, and bone, the components that constitute our bodies yet remain invisible to the naked eye. The companyʹs product line spans from home wellness to clinical applications, including multi-frequency, multi-segment measurement systems such as the STARBIA 201 and STARBIA 701.
The company has pioneered the worldʹs first patented technology for measuring bone density through BIA, securing multiple international invention patents. This breakthrough enables non-invasive measurements to approach the precision previously achievable only with large-scale equipment.
Approval to establish operations in the Science Park will provide STARBIA MEDiTEK with enhanced policy support and resource connections for R&D, manufacturing, and international market expansion. This milestone represents government recognition of the companyʹs technological capabilities and establishes a strong foundation for its next phase of growth.
